December already?

Several things....
We still have not gotten notification of upcoming shipments this morning.They are supposed to send an email the day before to alert us that the vaccine is on the way

Of course, the last shipment took me by surprise and came with no warning, so our status could change quickly.

We have gotten several questions about reserving a vaccination and getting on a list.
We are not doing reservations. If we were, I am quite sure that all of our upcoming vaccine would already be spoken for by the lucky few that camped on the phone lines here. Until our supplies are truly adequate we want to put more thought into the process than a simple first come first served.
There are 2 possible "lists".
The first is Josie's list of high risk patients. She has kept this for years and uses it to alert patients every year when the flu vaccine becomes available. If you have a child that you believe is high risk for any reason, do talk to us about making sure you are on that list.
The second possible list would be the daily log of people scheduled to come that same day for available flu shots. Once we have the vaccine in stock we will be doing flu shot clinics Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10-11:30 or 2-4.

What's going around?...Yesterday was the Monday after a 4 day weekend and I anticipated that it would be much busier than it actually was, which means things are fairly quiet out in the illness world.
We did have a handful of kids with several days of moderately high fever.
We are also seeing a bunch of patients with a mild tummy virus that comes and goes fairly quickly.
I will post again tomorrow unless we get a shipment today.
